     When I Think Of You     

When I think of you

There is no heartache,

No sadness,

No pain,

No insecurity…..

When I think of you

I feel

Love,

Safety,

Happiness,

Protection…..

When I use to think of you

I felt pain and saddened,

Not from you, no not at all,

But because I was so use to feelings of

Darkness and negative and pain and sadness…..

That

When I use to think of you

This happiness seemed so unreal

So un-normal

I felt guilty for being happy, for wanting you forever

Like I didn't deserve happiness or love,

Like I didn't deserve you

But now

When I think of you

Our memories we made together come to mind

A smile crosses my face

And my heart and soul rejoice

Knowing that you are mine

Knowing that you will always stay by my side

Knowing that you and you alone are my happy ending
