Psychology: Inkblot

Nicole, your subconscious mind is driven most by Curiosity

You are full of questions about life, people, and your own potential. You spend more time than others imagining the possibilities for your life — and you're open to things others are too afraid to consider.

You have an almost physical need to know and do more. It's only through new experiences that you feel a greater understanding of yourself and the world. You also have a rebellious streak that shows up when you feel unable to truly influence the world or circumstances around you. Your appetite for novel experiences also shows an openness others don't have, but wish they did.

Your psyche is very rich; the more you learn about it, the more you will understand who you really are.

Curiously enough, this result was rather dead on so far as my personality is concerned.  If I want to learn something, then by gods I will.  And I will go through a lot of effort just to figure out the problem I’m determined to solve.  Usually, this involves looking from website to website, tracking down any information I can on the subject.  And if that doesn’t work, then I usually start ordering book after book.

This same curiosity is what has driven me on my own spiritual quest, due to a constant need to find out what the new purpose of mankind is, and what is it that I can learn in this lifetime that I have possibly forgotten in the last or what I will need in the next.  This is the same curiosity that helped me to decide on a more spiritual (or as my brother calls it, the hippie movement) path of meditation, tranquil sounds/smells/sights, and a search within myself to find where I have been and may possibly go to.  It is exciting to think that humans are not the only intelligent beings in the world, and that perhaps there are spirits (guardian angels, etc) who do indeed watch over us.  But what is even more exciting is the prospect of being able to communicate with them, even if it is in something so small as a repeated symbol or number, or even a fragrance that tends to follow you even while you know you don’t wear that particular perfume or cologne.

It gives for an extra meaning in life, as far as I can see, allowing me to take the next step from the world of the living.  I myself have never really had a fear of death, though old age is a different matter entirely, but this way of viewing the world, knowing that there is a world within our realm helps to restore balance to the soul.

This test helps to recognize a strength in my character that not many have.  A curious nature is an open minded nature, a willingness to learn more of the unknown.  On that comparative note, I had also taken a Queendom quiz on my paranormal beliefs.

Psychic Beliefs

   44

According to your score, you somewhat believe that some people are gifted with the power to see into the future and can predict things to come, although you sometimes don’t take every prediction at face value. Although you may not consider all psychics to be legitimate practitioners, you do believe that there are a few people who do indeed possess a sort of “sixth sense” or the ability to feel and see things that most people can’t.

The result is a little less accurate than the inkblot personality quiz.  Yes, due to my curious nature and need to see beyond what is there, I believe in a certain level of paranormal activities.  Such things include guardian spirits, ghosts of those long passed, life on other planets.  But my beliefs don’t go so far as to think someone can literally predict the future.  A sixth sense I could possibly grasp, but nothing too much into detail.  More of less, the sixth sense could be a reference to something along the lines of Tarot, where cards are aligned to give guidance into one’s inner most thoughts or feelings (not to predict the future!).  However, since Tarot is more of an inner guidance rather than a fact by fact “this is what’s going to happen”, then even that is more of a spiritual premonition rather than a physical one.

Odds are, if you know yourself well enough, then it shouldn’t matter if you’re using Tarot, a pendulum or even sitting at the foot of a cross, you should have a good guess on the outcome of a situation -  provided you use some common sense.  Such religious and spiritual guides are simply to help keep you from lying to yourself…and even then it’s still possible for those who are in denial and don’t want to accept or face the truth.
