Dry tears crawl to the ground,

As you stop to realize the heart break.

The cries of pain are drowned,

As the nightmare ends when you wake.



You see the light.

You see the dawn.

If this is what love brings,

Then I can't carry on.

Just give me the darkness,

A shadow will do.

You'll never see me again,

But I'll always see you.



Despair clouds my head,

My skin is turning pail.

A soul that's left for dead,

By the pain that it may ail.

Your anger burns crimson,

The grief's a shade of blue.

My thoughts are my own prison,

The world settles in.
