Traveling through the twin scarlet doors
gazing at a new adventure,
a new gift to unwrap.

Warmth envelops my body
as my palms tingle.
Feverish eyes flare at me
as the guitar begins to strum away.

The pace of my heart accelerates
as my soul takes flight into the rhythm
that plays through my mind.

Anxiety slowly begins to float away
like a feather floating on a cool summer breeze.
My choice is within reach now.

I am at the precipice,
the determining moment.
A rush of adrenaline smacks me like a train
as I land safely in the arms of the music.

Everything became a blur
as joyful noise danced across the room.
The night finally welcomed me home.
