Glass

I rose from the fire that was made so long ago,

Fragile as an angel's soul,

Peeking through the curtains,

Trying not to break,

Won't wander out too far,

Who knows what could scratch or scar?

Look into the sky, wish upon a star,

Whatever you wish,

Be careful not to push me to hard,

I might shatter when I fall,

Like a puzzle with a million pieces,

Would you take the time to glue me back together?

If I bleed or cry,

Would you wash me like glass and leave me out to dry?

If i scream in fear,

Would you lock me away as I let go of my tears,

If you suddenly get bored,

Will you drop me on the floor?

I'll admit I'm complicated,

And I can get infatuated,

But would you treat me like glass,

Just because you say I'm sensitive,

Forever will never pass,

If I'm treated this way I'll never live.
