what happened to creativity?
distractions pulled away,
where are they today?
television screens do the thinking for us:
ask my father,
"turn off the screen"
and he will reply
"what else is there to do?"
i need an excuse
to lose
i want to make a cardboard box fort
i want to climb things
and thank God for my arms and legs,
i want to create things.
so what happened to creativity?
my soul is still a child.
i want innocent fun,

i want mud
in between my toes
and my clothes
i want make believes and trees
that sense of immunity
from the passive minds of this world.

let's build a tree house
no girls allowed

after discussing this matter with my friend,
she pointed out that creativity is dying
because for all our life we are told to stop being unrealistic,
to stop daydreaming,
to stop believing,
after being pestered by it enough,

we stopped
