Of endless possibility
Lets make it one
Worth remembering
My new years resolution
Same as it has
Always been
Remain open minded
Give in not
To the mindless
Hate and bigotry
That still defines
Far too much
Of my dear country
Be an individual
Who would rather
Think for herfeslf
Than give in to
A madness
That has gripped
So many else
And above all
One way or another
Find a way
To make life better
For at least somebody
That my friends
Is my New Years
Resolution
