People argue
That an eye for an eye
Is right
But I say
All it does
Is make far
Too many
People blind
An eye for an eye
A life for as life
Makes no difference
To those out for vengeance
If the person
Actually did it
Now does it
Just as long
As it makes them
Feel better
That is really
All they are after
The death penalty
And war
Both exist
For the same reason
Power
We think your a threat
We go to war
With your country
And kill your innocent people
We think you killed somebody
Then we will gladly
Kill you too
But what happens
When we are wrong
When our anger
Clouds our judgement
So much
That we make the
Wrong assessment
And the wrong
Person or people
Die for it
What then
Somebody
Please
Just tell me
What then?
