The truth is hidden
About a soul
Never seen
And never known
Hidden away
In the only world
It has ever known
Harboring secrets never told
Hiding in shadows
Familiar and cold
It sees everything
Yes it sees all
Waiting for its tormentors to fall
And for freedom to call
In the shadows it sees all
It sees you stealing
Cheating and lying
It sees you taking
Advantage of the weaker
And smaller
While in your mind
Your soul is sinless
And spotless
But to the truth
This soul
Is not so oblivious
It knows someday
You will fall
For it does
And always will
