My dear society
Why can't we just see
The very truth
Of what we do
The world in which
We call our home
Is quickly coming undone
With words unspoken
Together alone
We all are falling
And yet the truth
We are still denying
We can catch each other
If we really wanted
But that would mean
Letting go
Of so much hatred
And living to spread
Love and acceptance
We can do it
If we put our minds to it
And the willingness
To do so
We must show
If we are to ever see
The very peace
We seek
