Welcome to
Our waking nightmare
Wide awake
Yet so asleep

Knew better
Didn't care
Now we wonder
Why our very country weeps
As for eternal slumber
More and more fall under
As the demons in charge
Bring more and more

Deadly thunder
Daily reminders
Of our social plunder

That destroyed our light
Freedom and wonder

Controlled again
By the hatred
Of the day
Insanity spreading
Those who see it
Their cries on deaf ears
Tell me how again
We fucking got here
And how exactly

It's supposedly worth it

So many
In our own country
Divided by the hate
Brought on by those

Who swear they care

Just one mindless minion

To take out one undesirable at a time

Drowned out by madness
