Reflections
All we have become
On opposite ends

Of a shattered spectrum
Breaking each other
For reasons why
To find
No one seems
To ever bother
Ways to one up each other
Somehow seems to be
All that ever matters
While our very lives
Are left tattered
And in ruins
Scary yet
The worst somehow
Has yet to even begin

Innocents dying daily
Societies heart
Forever breaking
And yet somehow
We only seem to
Pretend to care
As to the lies we keep clinging
Never understanding
Why we are never more
Than worse for wear

Verse 2
Echoes of the voiceless
Screaming to be heard
In a world they wish
Would just do better

Finally act like they should
Buried deep
In the darkness created
By a coldness
So frozen
It has made us

Un caring
And overbearing
A mask always wearing
As in a world of facades
We are all living 

All too willing
Screaming for something
To fill the void
Responsible for the
Emptiness we are always feeling
Farther into the hole of nothing

We just keep falling
