So many peoples lives
Used as pawns
On both sides
Caught in a conflict
None wanted to happen

Brought on by the actions
Of those in charge
And who represent the

Very people 

Dying in their name
In a bid to win a game
So power they don't deserve
Can be given at the expense
Of victims never truly heard

Hatred is taught
As power is sought
Innocents caught
In conflict
Unwanted
As sanity keeps dwindling
There can be no winning
While so many are losing

Children dying
A population crying

Screaming 
For a peace
That never seems
To ever be coming

Homes destroyed
As propaganda deployed
As the world races
To take sides
Condemning anyone
Who speaks out
For what they see as right
Tell me will this world
Ever see the light
