Our country at war
More and more
Each day 

With each other
Just like the government

Does want it
As they do what they want
Manipulating us
From behind the curtain

We keep forgetting
To pay attention to
Controlling
All we think
And do
While convincing
Me and you
If we want to be free

Then letting them 

Is what we need to do

Barely noticing
As we fight the days away

Into our own darkness
We do fade

Freedom isn't free
And neither is our country
Book banning
And women's rights
To their own autonomy
Already taken

While also going after
Our right to love

And be who we are
The insanity
Of everything
Is tearing apart
Fucking everybody
All the while far too many
On the governments kool aid
Fucking living
As about others 
Are no longer caring
Leaving the entire country
Nothing short of bat shit crazy
