The sun rises
Bright and early
Another day
Has officially begun
Many in the world
Mourn the consequences
Of the actions
Of the chaotic
And corrupt ones
Who never seem
To give a shit
About those
They are hurting
The day goes on
Big game hunters
And poachers
Hunt yet
Another species
Into extinction
The animal kingdom mourns
As the hunters
Are too busy celebrating
Their trophy kill
To care
In the mean time
On the other side
Of the world
Protestors
Who have lost sight
Of their own cause
Continue
To make things worse
While the actual
Issue at hand
Still goes
Unresolved
All while the
"Invisible" family
Forced to live
On the street
Because their
House was
Forclosed on
Because there are
No jobs
To be found
Mourn the loss
Of their only child
Who starved to death
Because they
Couldn't get any help
Finding something to eat
Because they
Live in an immoral state
That has made feeding
The homeless
On the street illegal
Not far from them
Another bullied kid
With far too easy
Access to guns
Takes his revenge
While accross
The country
Another bully victim
Takes his own life
Convinced
No one would
Ever miss them
It's getting dark now
Latch key kids
Wonder when their
Mother will be home
From any one
Of her four jobs
She has to take
Because her state
Won't raise the
Minimum wage
That she can barely
Even with four jobs
Afford to live on
The sun sets in silence
As the moon rises
Trying not to cry
As she looks down on us
And just asks why
Why society
Please tell me
Just tell me why
