Poetry Itself

Thoughts

"being a poet is being your own worst critique, much as being an artist is always rethinking your expressions. but to be able to visualize, hold and bring into this world... the eye can know more than the mouth

i hate and love my poems. i've always used it as a vent, a way to upheave the things that burden me. but at the same time it can burn, mentally, more than a grave or a memorial or a picture of the deceased for these poems, however well-written, also remind me of that moment... for whatever it may have imbodied, it still embodies that moment whether a lifetime, year... or a moment behind us still burning in our minds.. and our eyes

so while at the moment i am relieved i am forever haunted, and awed, of the words i spat, the feelings so felt and the dreams never forgotten...

poetic unto itself but it's how i feel"
