Twilight Serenade

Twilight Serenade

a lighter wind breezing in

crescents are of obvious

with a sheathe of twilight

the pale moon's glow

reveals all to be dreams

realized in the fields

with softer shades now seen

exposed in the light

yet cherished in the dark

all becomes a tangle

with webs woven in fervor

and instincts impelling more

for even in the dusks remains

the lingering passion of life

in all its wanton recklessness

so even in the growth

of the shifting shades

and waning astral guides

this evening shall be locked

upon the stars and once-seen mirages

as my love's serenade
