numbingly quiet, the mind rambles on

all the hope for change has died and gone

devoidly black, the eyes close you out

CASHIER: "What's that mark on your forehead?" GUY: "I decided to break several pieces of wood with my head." CASHIER: "Why did you do that?" GUY: "I bashed my brain for a girl is bashing my heart." CASHIER: "Better to bash yourself than her, eh?" GUY: "I'd rather hit a wall before i hit a woman; i'm not a wife-beater." --- interesting conversation with a cashier at 7-11 earlier today. i must say, he helped me put things in perspective...
