I sit and listen
in quiet Rage
As You read on
with another page
He Loves Us so
this is what They say
But where is He now?
where was He Yesterday?
That was a Day
so full of Pain
Yet He Loves Us so
and He didn't Remain?
Stand by Our Side
to Ride the Storm
Instead He hides
His 'Flawless' form
In the Shadows
deep in the Dark
You say His love
warms your Heart?
Like a Father
from long ago
Who sends a dollar
a year to show
His Absent Love,
Long-Distance Care
I curse Your Name
I scream intot the air:
"You Weren't There
When I was Pained
You Were Absent
When Darkness Reigned
You Weren't Home
When I Was Cold
Left Alone
Holes In Soul
"They Read Words
That Dare To Say
You Deeply Love
And It Will Be Ok
How Would You Know
This Pain And Fear?
How Could You Say So
When You're Not Here!?

Hey LittlLep,
I agree with you here, why should we just swallow the doctrine the Christian Church has spoonfed us since birth, without any proof of truth? It's all just empty words. I believe we have to make our own set of beliefs, based on our own life experiences, and ignore organized religion altogether.
Maybe Christianity works for the masses, but so many are sheep who do not question their shepherd. It's best to find the path you need to follow for yourself.....
