did you know

on this day

two years ago

i had no way

to see hope

there was no light

i held, i groped

my aching life

at night i cried

of all my pain

i held on

to tattered remains

i felt a hole

in my soul

i felt it slipping

life's slipping pole

lost a dear

one to me

i fell to the floor

gave into gravity

letting it flow

all of the hurt

as the tears fall

down to the earth

i could no longer

see a way

i lost all hope

and light on this day...
