That Day

As the cold wind blows through the trees leaves.

I remember the last words you said to me.

How heart broken and breathless they left me.

The way your eyes teared with every word

That left your mouth.

I could hear how both our hearts shattered like fragile glass

As quickly as our lives has passed.

So maybe I'll forgive you some day, for that day as the sunsets.

We sat under our favorite tree

And you whispered how much you loved me.

How much you'll miss me , but this was necessary.

You helped me up for our last embrace

And I begged you don't leave me .

Don't let anothers war take you away from me.

You said, " I love you , please forgive me."

Kissed me and left as the ghost you used to be.

Now as the winds whisper with the words you said.

With me knowing the man you'll soon be.

I can forgive you and I'll find you and hold you again.
