MY NAIVETY COST ME A LOT

Folder:
A POET'S WAIL

I am so daft, am I not,
I was so naive,
I let her slip away
Like a rolling coin

She does wanna stay
But I didn't even feel she should,
She loved me
And I loved her

I still don't know what happened
What brought our love to an end,
I never wanted it to bend

I was really stupid
I let her slip away
So easy like a shadow on the highway

And now to another her heart belongs
Something special I owned for long,
Dearie! All I seek for
Is another chance,
your simple attention, care and love...
