My nails shimmered like seashells
My teeth felt like chalk
I walked outside to relieve the swells
Tears brimming my eyelashes
They were invisible to everyone else
Your warmth I pretended to be engulfed in
The buttons on my cell phone chirped just right
Your voice swooped in to the rescue and
The rocks quivered underneath my sly smile
I rewound the clock and pretended to be at your house
Sitting at the end of the bed of your truck
The tail gates plastic grooves did not take away
From the silvery shifting caressing
Moon's touch on your face
