Every morning awaken by alarm,
After hearing my firstborn's cries;
I see my baby and lady unharmed,
With a new father's half shut eyes.
A kiss to the child…
I get the clothes and shoes,
Take a shower, wash my face;
Dress for work, then read the news,
While I toast old bread from a month.
A kiss after the other…
I eat the toast well done,
I take the keys for my car;
I leave before I see the sun,
Knowing what got me this far.
A kiss to their smile…
There's a reason to live,
And it is in my child and girl;
By the love and joy they give,
To me, they mean the world.
A kiss to one another.
