Uncharted HeartBeats

if midnight slipped misguidedly
through the hazy veil of midnight
taking with it the last dream of us
would you remember to forget
those details of passion spent
or would that dream become
moments that tick a brand new day
forever carving a path into tomorrow
fervently lit with the undeniable truths
that linger far past the wistfulness
....of any dream

if the ardent gleam in my eyes
abruptly wakes your dormant soul
beckoning you across the expanse of ages
to recall that amatory dance
that has always been ours alone
would the logic of your mind
deny the truth about you and I
or would your heart take my hand
and lead us spiritedly across the
transcendence of destinies dance floor

if the simple beat of my heart
invades every flutter of your body
would you ignore the trickle of ardor
slowly dripping into your life’s blood
or would the amorous composition
orchestrate the rhythm of love’s pulse
….matching only mine
forging an alliance of hearts
that knows no earthly bounds

and if the whisper of my lips
synthesizes any unspoken doubts
would you deny what you heard
or would your ears be
the vessels of understanding
that carry us above the confusion
that silently dominates today
…..to the only place
where you and I are held tender
within the simplicity of love
