Raining Dreams

Rational thoughts come and go with every breath I take
Another sleepless night has been dealt by the hand of fate
Intoxicating memories of crisp cool autumns dance in my mind
Never ending dreams of crystal cold kisses seek my wanton lips
It’s not enough to take away the placid heat that envelops me
Needing, craving, wanting…..searching for an end to it all
Grasping for something, anything….but there’s nothing at all

Driven by madness amidst sweat soaked sheets
Revived by sanity in the form of a gentle breeze
Ever lingering salvation touching me tenderly
Altering my perception for just one night
Midsummer’s fantasies come alive and carry me through
Sirens singing of raindrops and early morning dew
