~My Prayer~





For so many years for you I've prayed and prayed,

For God above to change all your wrong ways;

But one day God has called your name,

I pray now you've made it Home



Years always have their little way,

To swiftly beneath all of us and slip,

And you and I never had another chance;

To see each other's face again



When they told me about your passing,

My heart that day was broken right in two;

I felt back all that tearing pain 'cause I loved so,

All so sad that I couldn't talk to you again



Now there isn't anything more to do,

But to pray that you've made it Home;

They say your soul was okay with Him,

For you there's no more suffering and pain



I closed my eyes and prayed that you've made it Home!
