There are many things I can choose and pick

When I do it I try to execute them nice and quick,

Most things require expertise, and some require a little trick;

But some things I can’t help and life gives me a kick!



The other day when they told me that you were sick

I prayed all day for you and for your boyfriend Nick

The one who cheats on you and goes picking chicks

The one you see a lot when you’re not with Rick



There are some people that you should never go out with and never pick,

Because every time you do it, you’ll get hurt and get a kick!

Don’t look for trouble! Don’t go throwing stones and sticks!

Because every time you do it, you’ll get hurt and get a kick!



There are some things we should never, ever pick!

Because every time you do it, you’ll get hurt and get a kick!
