TIME TO GO

ITS TIME TO GO,

TO MOVE FOR ME TO ANOTHER

TOWN OR PLACE,

EVEN THE LEAVES UNDER ME,

ARE TURNING ALREADY DEAD GRAY OR GRIMED.

THE TREES HAD LOST ON

THE GROUNDS,

THEIR DEEPEST SHADOWS, AND THEIR

GLOWING LIGHTS

HAD GROWN BEFORE MY VERY EYES SO

DEEMED.

AND ITS LATE,LATE FALL

IN THIS LATE AND SAD AFTERNOON,

I JUST KNOW FOR ME.

AND THE WINDY BREEZE IS MAKING ME

FEEL SO MUCH COLDER,

AND IS DROWNING ME NOW, IN THIS DARKNESS

SO LONG

FOR THERE'S A BREWING STORM,

RIGHT HERE BOTTOMLESS,IN MY SOUL,

AND I KNOW IS TOO LATE, LATE IN THE FALL

THIS TIME FOR ME,

AS THE SHADOWS AND WIND,TOSSES THE LEAVES AROUND ME,

AND UNDER MY FEET AGAIN, I CRUSHED THEM ALL.

When we finally come to the realization of that meaning in time, then, we are truely free and wise enough to say: "TIME TO GO". What Dorian has courageously done in "TIME TO GO" is to let humanity know, in a healing and triumphant sense of reality, that: "THE TREES HAD LOST ON THE GROUNDS, THEIR DEEPEST SHADOWS, AND THEIR GLOWING LIGHTS HAD GROWN BEFORE MY VERY EYES SO DEEMED... FOR THERE'S A BREWING STORM ... AND IT'S LATE LATE FALL ... I JUST KNOW FOR ME ... THIS TIME FOR ME, RIGHT HERE BOTTOMLESS, IN MY SOUL... AS THE SHADOWS AND WIND, TOSSES THE LEAVES AROUND ME AND UNDER MY FEET AGAIN, I CRUSHED THEM ALL" May humanity come to truely learn and humbly know when it's: "TIME TO GO". There is a hopeful; yet apprehensive feeling of wholeness within these disarming lines. One is indeed, freed from; "...THIS DARKNESS SO LONG" And made to understand that as the wise King Solomon put it in the book of ECCLESIASTES: "There is a time for everything, and a season for activity under heaven:..." Ecclesiastes: Ch. 3: 1-2 Surely, Dorian, it's: "TIME TO GO" even for me on this critique page!

Saw this at the random feature poetry. I like the feelings you evoked in here. Poignant and with the tone of finality. By the way, nice to discover your hall of poetry. ^_^
