A frown always stayed on my mouth
And wet tracks would streak down my cheeks
Now your soft kisses take their place
And your lips to mine they do seek

Gone now are all the lonely nights
And the crying myself to sleep
Now in your arms I drift away
And only tears of joy I weep

So please protect my fragile heart
In your strong hands now will it keep
For with you I entrust my life
And I can take that final leap

But hear this warning now I pray
'Cause the stakes here are rather steep
For if you butcher my feelings
Your soul I will forever reap
