In all I’ve been through
I thank you for that in which I have
Often times losing focus
Caught up in
How come… if only… and being mad
Looking past
Many of my life’s fortunes
For I am fortunate
Everyday I wake up and breathe
Life isn’t promised tomorrow
So today I must believe
And hold these truths
Thankful for the simple things
For simplicity is you
As these words are long over due
Always lived in my heart
As I will live each day
