Shut up, be quiet, this is my time
Look close this time, read every line
Worry about yourself, I’ll be fine
Can’t put it words, so I’ll put it in a rhyme
Look here, listen, and hear me out
I was hurt too, so much, too much to shout
This message is to be delivered ‘en route
We’re not kids anymore, so don’t pout
I’ll always talk and rhyme about my pain
Reason? Because I can’t stop the rain
so no, I won’t stop this pain
I told you, everything for now-I refrain

Time goes by as minutes, and I count them…
Day by year, closer and farther apart
my love still goes right off the chart
It wasn’t my fault and it wasn’t yours
I’ll admit it, livin’ life is like chores
I hate doing them, and so do you
A spark, an ember, a flame, let’s make a new
