"I will catch you!"
Your loving words floated in the air
as you called at me
from beneath the mango tree.
It was a fun game we played
but we've been out for too long.
The night has fallen
and you said
you had to go home.
I looked straight into your caring eyes
and you fervently stretched out your arms
waiting to catch me.
I grabbed a branch:
Smiled and closed my eyes
as I pushed myself off the tree.
The air opposed me
as if telling me to stop.
I opened my eyes
and series of windows waved at me.
A light posts' arms
waiting for me.
I cried until the tears blinded me
and the air numbed me.
