Mommy I know you can’t hear what I say

But I know you understand it some other way

For when at times I cry out so loud

You’d know I’m hungry and you’d make milk  no doubt

And when I toss and turn at night

You’d know I’m wet and change my diaper outright

My crumpled face you always know

Would mean that I will have to go

And all my smile and little coo

You know they mean I love you

Mommy I know you can’t hear me

But you sure understand what you see

So I’d like to thank that bearded guy

Who’s looking over at you from up high

He sure gave me someone to trust

Who understands what I say and must

So mommy I know you don’t hear what I say

But I sure know you’ll understand it some other way

When I coo right now and smile at you

It would mean each and everyday I love you
