I’ll just have to let today come to pass
However dismaying, however nay
To start the day with nothing on my tray
No food to start with, not even a glass
Tomorrow will be a different day
The bills have arrived, no money to pay
I’ll go get the mower and cut some grass
However dismaying, however nay
The whole day ahead, with much disarray
I just have to find a way to surpass
Tomorrow will be a different day
Rainy or sunny, anything’s okay
As long as tomorrow will come, alas!

So I’ll have to make the best of today
If I do find a way to make this pass
