I can put on a smile

I can make u believe

I can look alright

you can be deceived

I can laugh aloud

I can in you confide

but while I'm doing this

I will be broken inside

I will lean in for the kiss

that will never be given

I will reach for the hand

that will forever be hidden

I will hide the pain

Like before we met

I will close my eyes

and try to forget
