I watched the ember souls of men stray by me
Wanderers in the dark
Dim lights engulfed in an abyss
Potential siguls diminished to this
I trod the fading paths of stars
Now faded in oblivion
Their auras just holes for night
The embers fall to these, castrations of brilliant lights
Over galaxies, around nebulaes
Energy surging
Distant suns beckon their child
Too far to hear their groaning
"We're coming," they proclaim
In their voices dulled by night
While the suns fear they've been slain
Our spirits yearn for journey's end bright
But the elder suns beckonings are not.
Only flares of grieving pains
For the ember's lost to darkness
Never be seen again.
