Sweet notes trickle down
Like soft rain on petals,
Dripping from the strings
In a cascade of sound
To pool in my senses.
As strings vibrate
Chords shower in waves,
Overlapping and harmonising
To form a choral tide
Sweeping me along.
As the music builds
And thunders to a storm
It carries me aloft
To ride on the dark clouds
Pregnant with euphony.
Then a rainbow of tones
Changing colour through the spectrum
Delights with its beauty
Until it quietly fades
Leaving me with the gold.
WOOOOOOOOOOW, this really brought alot of memories back :D
Well written
I too love guitar great piece..
This is excellent. For some reason, I was hearing Nick Drake as I read this, but I adore Nick Drake, so that is good. I like the rainbow image at the end because I have synesthesia and see colors and patterns when I listen to music.
This poem reminds me of a bio. of a celebrity done on television. I can see you telling the world how you got started with music. Yet, even as you speak your poetry drips from your tongue fluently. I hope your dreams come true and in the end it brings you eternal happiness.
I really enjoyed reading this :-D i play the guitar, and being that this about a guitar it makes it even cooler, keep it up!
