I WISH I NEVER LEFT YOU





I said goodbye to you when we were young,

I wish that I could take it back

I was poor and could not give you a good life

And I thought it best to let you go

Now, forgive me my darling, I wish I never left you…

Never did let you go; we should have married and said I do  



Well, know now that I love you

And forgive me for that past

My prayers go up to heaven

For our love to last.
