How do I know of your persistent existence? You
Were fired in the earth from ancient ovens and
You attest to the permanence of love as a rock I hold
In my hand. You I know of no such solvent of dissolution
You will last with me like ancient archaeological
Strata in the grave. In rememberance of our love
Scientist will know embolden earth that never wastes.
We will fall like an avalanche into the grave and no
Force of dissolution will dissolve our love and
