DETRITUS
Under the swinish plain of carrion and
From the vat of putrid putrefaction;
Escapes the smell of sulfuric hell
Rises the most acrid smelly plume
Over the graveyard of the water,
Lay the rotten flesh of our sons
War begotten all that is rotten
Detritus rules under the sun
Oleaginous burning fat from 9/11
Sickening squeamish cries Arise
Fostered by the denizens of sheol
And by Beelzebub Lord of the Flies.
Animal throats open to the knife
Spring lambs slaughtered in their pen
Billions allotted for the Pentagon budget
Bloody wounds never allowed to mend
Detritus in the foul and filthy air; detritus
Made from the ass’s skeleton, to kill and
Maim and add to the heap. Detritus alone
Is all that we are ever allowed to keep.
