HER INEFFABLE SOFTNESS
Did you ever notice how she came to you with querying notes,
Though silent as a thrush and with mounting stillness, aroused in
You an embolden passion with nothing but the softness of her breath.
It was in that springtime that led up to the temples of your future that
The seasons rose in you as a fountain, lifting up and rising to cascade
In a contest of promises finding its meaning in subsequent endless summers.
Not only in those dawns of summer but in the sunsets on meadows in summer
Where golden rays kiss both eastern and western horizons; such as this was
The annunciation of her coming to you with the most exquisite of softness.
Her being with you is like noiseless living where beauty is like unfolding
Rose petals endlessly opening without a murmur; moreover a feeling arises
Of petals touching petals arousing a frictionless delight of silkiness..
Each petal opening so softly is like revealing eyelids that were closed as
If to dampen down the harshness of uncaring worldly glares and acting as
A sieve to filter out the myriad skies for even a modicum of darkness.
Such is the ineffable softness of her unfolding petals; though it might
Uncloak some burden forgotten,; it also acts as a raiment, a mask, a cloak
Or whatever is necessary when shed in front of her lover in need of softness.
