MISGUIDED MANIFEST DESTINY





Troglodytes, in serpentine caves, go deeper into the underworld

Swamp thing is camouflaged by moss and lakebed sediment; no

Need to worry, it means the dawning of a brand new horizon.



The stars are constrained to always set in the West; and so it that

We can make plans for a future; however, some things do go wrong;

It is when greedy bankers plan for war and finance both sides.



It is not that ogres and dragons are recognizable miscreants; the

Ones we have to worry about are they whose Dorian Gray portrait

Does not reveal evil and hangs on walls with gilded frames.



There are lots of moguls who are disappointed when the bombing

Is cancelled.  The branches of the tree of greed are much stouter

Than the twigs of reason; for this, the leaves of humanity fall early.



Men and women put their trust in the stars that set in the West;

After all, civilization does move westward.  Zephyr winds have

Filled our sails for so long our compass tells us we are always right.



What are the five elements that swelled our manifest destiny west?

Fire from guns, smoke from pollution, dark thinking of conspiracy,

Mud from war trenches and an ill wind blowing toward the Indian.
