CLOTHED BY LOVE
We clothe our self from the very fabric of our love;
I pushed aside the soil so that the earth exposed her
Jewels – the succulent woods carried the air of distant
Apples and we breathed in ancient sylvan orchids.
What a world we created; oregano from the South and
A deep parsley from the North; we a ship sailing through
The pungent but sweet plant oils in the air. Clothe in that
Love we were oblivious to the winter snows and setting suns.
When we die into this place, the earth will receive a single
Blended death surrounded by the eternity of a kiss. The river
Of our love continues to course through the valleys.
The imperious clothing of our love held longitudinal joy
Of mountains and latitudes of vistas and foliage of soft
Light falling from your eyes clothing me in ethereal silk.
