LOVE BANQUET
What is it that I hunger and crave; your prolonged
Laugh, your hair and your sleek limbs? Famished
And starving I crave the moonbeams in your eyes,
I am a predator for your liquid movements.
I want to eat your porcelain face like a blanched almond;
Your nose on the fine bones of your arrogant face;
I would like to devouR the ephemeral shade of your
Flickering lashes as part of the love banquet I crave
Only a puma, jaguar or a cat from the wild understands
The to and fro pacing that hunger causes and I am as
The leopard to leap on the sumptuous banquet that is you.
The bread of this world no longer nourishes me; my
Sustenance is to breathe in and imbibe the love you
Prepared for me as a guest to your resplendent banquet
