Deep as a shallow river
We think
It's all been done before
They said
Solomon was Wise
Beyond reproach
Back then
And the conclusion
That he came to
Was
Vanities
Of vanities
Nothing's new
Under the sun
Not true
In reality
But the poets
Know
Better than some
They think
I seen that
Somewhere
Else
Before
Vanities
Of vanities
The light shines
Through
That crack
Around
Your door
To reach you
When you thought
I've seen it all
Before
Vanities
Of vanities
Always
Call your name
Woohoo!
great flow and fun to read.
Vanities:
This poem you have created has an elusive quality about it, I read it 3 times before I understood it. I like your idea that poets have this new point of view - of course they do each one of us that creates poem, has a different perspective. You put it much nicer in your poem, elusive, kindredspirit. Quite flattering to poets I think. If i have interrpreted your poem incorrectly don't mind me, I still like my version of what I read.

Thank you Anita
All of my poems have more
Than one meaning
They change on me as I write even
You have a good heart
And that means a lot
