My aunt’s tape recorder

There it is, the tape recorder, always beside the CDs case full of old, happy, meaningful, motivational, dancing songs, etc. The tape recorder is always present in every event that takes place on my aunt’s house. Every time we visit her house, in every birthday, every graduation, every weekend we gather or in every opportunity we can join as a family any time of the year, there it is, my aunt’s favorite and now appreciated by all the family members, the red Sony tape recorder. It is not a simple tape recorder, it is a symbol of unity that has taught us throughout the years that family is always there for us, in the good and bad moments, and as the family, that tape recorder has always played for us during every moment of our lives whether they are good or bad, and helps us to smile every time a song start playing. It also starts representing something absolutely pure; it represents the peaceful, kind, passive, relaxed interactions in my family. These great time is not only for having the tape recorder, it is also thanks to the great heart that all the members of these family have, the way we treat each other, and the perfect type of songs my aunt always choose; she has all kinds of cheerful songs that goes perfectly to the occasion. Even on the cold winter, while celebrating Christmas, my aunt has always these very alive sprit that reflects the CDs she choose, and if we are not listening the songs, we are singing them, and if not, we are dancing them, or all at the same time. I can sincerely say that it is one of the best ways to spend time with your family.

One of our favorites activities that with the time become a tradition is to play cards, specially a game called “viuda” which always gives us a fun and entertained way of spending our time in family. We can relate this tradition with the tape recorder, because as we know we can always count with the cards game, we can always count with the red tape recorder to have a special, bonding, and happy time. All of my father’s brothers and sisters live in Pachuca with their families except an uncle and my father, we live in Monterrey, but we know that thanks to my aunt Irma and her red tape recorder we are waiting anxiously for our next visit.
