I realize I’d not loved before,

till I fell in love with you.

Like a book my heart lies open,

each page unclosed, in view.



I’ll confess to you my  thoughts,

private things I never share.

Secrets I’ve kept locked within,

my soul to you laid bare.



Hold my hand, look in my eyes,

share pieces of my life.

Walk beside me down this road,

I’m your husband you’re my wife.



Talk to me of  hopes and dreams,

of visions gone astray.

I’ll share the burdens of your life,

and troubles faced each day.



Tell me things that make you happy,

the pain when you are sad.

Remember times that meant the most,

gave you pleasure, made you mad.



I’ll search for ways to please you,

never pushing you away.

Be your lover, friend you come to,

sharing joy with you each day.



My life with you is treasured,

each day starts love anew.
