I go to the field
Notice the flowers
I see many with beauty sealed
Inside a bud, but still they tower
I have a general love
I go everyday
Seeing them stand above
Once one day
A flower was down
How did I not know?
How Did I not see the leaves Turing brown?
How didn't I know the bud could Not grow?
I knew it would bloom to be
A beautiful bloom
Didn't it see?
But now its gone too soon
My head doesn't rest
The flowers don't seem the same
They've lost one of their best
But no one is to blame
The petals picked up
But the hole in the ground
Is still not closed up
And roots never found
Why can't my tears now
Go back and Water that flower
To make it how
It was back when it had power
