My tears were silent and unspoken
My heart shattered like glass,
it fell apart like feathers.
So soft and gentle
each piece had fallen
as it
gently
hit
the ground.
My pain was hidden with a makeup covered smile.
Bright pink lips and dainty painted fingernails.
My body appeared to be clean,
my eyes seemed so innocent.
His hands remained on me,
though not visible they could still be felt on me.
It made me dirty.
My face is stained with tears.
My heart shatters loudly. My skin is covered in dirt, it’ll never be pure.
The water covers the noise, silences my tears, masks the pain.
I’m no longer here.
